Best Practice Workshop: Combating Counterfeit Electronic Components

Counterfeited and malfunctioning electronic components pose a growing threat to performance and safety of electronic products and may result in substantial costs for the brand owner. For this reason, the UK Electronics Alliance and the Electronic Component Supply Network, together with the Product & Image Security Foundation, the forum for security labelling, packaging and marking suppliers, offer a seminar to discuss adequate solutions to the problems of identifying and removing counterfeit components from the supply chain.

The seminar that takes place on Tuesday, 9th March in the BIS Conference Centre in London includes an overview of the most suitable anti-counterfeit solutions and traceability systems for electronic component identification. It also provides information on how track and trace systems should complement each other and provide protection to both product and packaging. Angelina Rayak from 3S Sales Management will present the legally binding micro colour-code technology SECUTAG® and will explain its technical details, its combination possibilities with traceability systems and its easy implementation into production processes to the industry.

4th Annual Conference Pharma Packaging 2010

Some of the most important challenges of pharmaceutical packaging are the securing of high quality and the ensuring of counterfeit protection. Growing regulatory demands imply huge problems and requirements for the packaging industry. On top of this, the international market necessitates flexibility and standardization to make the grade and to reduce processes and minimize costs.

The 4th Annual Conference “Pharma Packaging” is concerned with these topics. The conference takes place from Monday, 22nd to Wednesday, 24th February 2010 at the Dorint Hotel Sanssouci in Berlin, Germany. Monday is an interactive workshop day. The two following days are dedicated to lectures and discussions on the EU pharmaceutical package, GMP compliance as well as process optimization and profitability.

The Brand Protection Show

From Wednesday, 16th to Thursday, 17th September 2009, 3S Simons Security Systems presents its counterfeit protection products at The Brand Protection Show at Olympia, London/UK.

4th Annual Pharmaceutical Anti-Counterfeiting Strategies

By the title of “Maintaining patient safety and securing the supply chain”, the 4th Annual Pharmaceutical Anti-Counterfeiting Strategies Conference will take place from Monday, 7th to Tuesday, 8th September 2009, at the Hilton London Olympia, London/UK.

In order to efficiently deal with the changing structure of the pharmaceutical industry, manufacturers, regulators and distributors must work together to implement suitable technologies to maintain patient safety, protect brands and R&D investment. 2nd Annual Conference Anti-Counterfeiting Pharma

From Monday, 15th to Wednesday, 17th June 2009, the 2nd annual conference “Anti-Counterfeiting Pharma” takes place at Dorint Pallas in Wiesbaden, Germany. Monday is an interactive workshop day. The two following days are dedicated to lectures and discussions on the topics of the European Union’s Pharmaceutical Packaging, efficient product and supply chain security and anti-counterfeiting in the context of parallel and internet trade.

Counterfeit pharmaceuticals not only provoke immense economic damage to pharmaceutical companies. Above all, they are a great risk to the public. The increasing threat calls for immediate action. Steps must be taken by governmental and international authorities as well as by every single affected pharmaceutical company. The newly adopted “Pharmaceutical Package” by the EU and EFPIA’s strategy for a Europe-wide identification system will, amongst others, be discussed at the conference.

The competence centre Industrial Identification & Vision particularly shows components, systems, software and services in identification technology. Our legal status and management will be identical. Our print products are now jointly developed, manufactured and distributed with our products for counterfeit protection.
