SECUTAG® in
its purest form looks like respirable
dust when seen with the naked eye.
The four to eleven colour layers
in each "dust particle",
which constitute a customer-specific
SECUTAG® micro colour code,
are visible only under a microscope
with about 100-fold magnification.
Each "dust particle" can
have a size starting from five
micrometers. Such sizes are only
manufactured by us.
On
a customer's request, we can even
manufacture SECUTAG® micro
colour codes that glow under infrared
or ultraviolet light in addition
to those made of colour layers
in standard colours. SECUTAG® micro
colour codes can also be magnetised,
so that they can be extracted from
powdered materials using a magnet
for instance.
SECUTAG® is made up of a chemical called melamine resin.
Hence, just like desktops coated with melamine resin, SECUTAG® micro
colour codes show extreme resistance. SECUTAG® can resist
heat up to 200°C and up to 350°C for a short period
of time. It is resistant to almost all chemicals. This enables
labelling of products in critical conditions as well.
